Dear Students,
In order to prevent misunderstandings regarding the accommodation opportunities for incoming Erasmus+ exchange students, the following points should be clarified:

In Türkiye, state dormitories operate under the authority of the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK). These dormitories are available only to full-time students (Turkish or international, excluding exchange program students) who apply through a national application system within specified dates.

Erasmus+ students can be accommodated in state dormitories only if there are vacant places. However, Nevşehir is a small city with approximately 25,000 students, and the number of state dormitories is insufficient. Therefore, it is often not possible for Erasmus+ students to find a place in state dormitories.

To avoid difficulties, our university contacts private dormitories to collect information on prices. Please note that these private dormitories are profit-oriented businesses and have no official affiliation with our university. The role of the university is limited to providing guidance by collecting information and sharing it with students.

It is also known, based on complaints from our Turkish students, that private dormitories may sometimes offer the same room at different prices. Since this matter falls outside the authority and responsibility of our university, we cannot be held liable for any potential problems that may arise regarding private dormitories.

According to Erasmus+ programme rules, universities are not obliged to provide dormitory accommodation for students. Therefore, the private dormitory options suggested by our university are for informational purposes only. Students are free to make their own arrangements and choose other accommodation alternatives if they wish.
Students are kindly advised to take the above-mentioned points into consideration when making their accommodation plans.
